Part-time Caregiver

As a part-time caregiver in this role, you will be responsible for providing personal care and companionship to a male client who has a brain tumor. This client has mobility impairment on the right side. He is able to lift himself to a standing position but requires standby assistance to prevent falls. He does not have cognitive decline but has hearing loss due to the tumor. Responsibilities include: – Assisting with personal care, including bathing twice a week – Meal preparation (no shopping involved) – Making dinner for the client before leaving – Monitoring salt intake while cooking – Cleaning up after the client and self – Medication reminders – Assisting with mobility (client has walker) – Providing standby assistance – Using a Hoyer lift (training provided if not experienced) The ideal candidate for this role is a kind, caring, and willing to learn. Must be able to handle strong personalities. A plus if a female caregiver who with experience in providing mobility and hearing impairment.
